tengger: nomad

Strangely beautiful, even elegant, Nomad (2020) floats and drifts, rarely touching the ground. Primarily analog synths with lilting female vocals cooing in the background, each track is unique yet combined they form a subtly complex whole. The sound of water ties it all together. While “Eurasia” has a pulsating motorik feel, “Achime” and “Water” actually bring Cocteau Twins singer Elizabeth Fraser to mind. Experimental, ambient, minimalist, ethereal…call it what you will, it’s quite lovely and definitely worth experiencing.
