  1. Very interesting. Marina Mika’s work was hitherto unknown to me, so I appreciate this post, particularly as an admirer of the work of Aubrey Beardsley and of Alastair (Baron Hans Henning Voigt), both great illustrators of The Decadence. Mika’s work is reminiscent of both.

  2. I had planned to visit the major Beardsley exhibition at Tate Britain in London. It was due to run until late May. Sadly, Covid-19 has put an end to that and many other cultural forays as all galleries, museums, etc., are closed. The saving grace, with regard to Beardsley, is that much of his work was designed for book and magazine pages, so can still be appreciated on book pages (and on the internet). Your own site, Thombeau, is also a place to admire, wonder and learn, particularly in these days of lockdown. Big thanks!
