Exceedingly strange, November (2017) is a bizarre, wintry dream right out of a Bruegel painting. It’s surreal and almost primal. And it’s in Estonian, so it sounds like everyone is speaking backwards! Filmed in stunning black-and-white, the cinematography is fantastic, with many moments of extreme beauty. Excellent score, too. Dark and twisted, haunting yet humorous, to say any more would spoil the fun of seeing it unfold before your very eyes. It’s a trip, and highly recommended.
